Ngl...I had my doubts. Thought my dinner mate had set me up for the okie doke but much to my surprise this place was exactly as advertised and the food was delicious. Huge shout out to our server Scott who not only provided excellent service but provided mouth watering dinner recommendations for our table. We started the night off with the calamari. Had the fuselli (daily special) with seafood (menu modification) vice chicken and also ordered the mushroom and chicken Alfredo all with garlic bread as an appetizer. While some people just combine ingredients, it is clear that that the chef on duty can cook cook. (IYKYK) Warning the noise levels are not for the weak but when the food is this good... the energy in the establishment has to match it. 10/10 highly recommend.

I've wanted to come here for a while and so glad I did! I'm GF and was very happy with the options they had. They brought me GF bread and there were 2 noodle options that night: spaghetti and gnocchi. I got the penne alla vodka and really liked it. My non GF loved their pasta and apps as well!

Amazing! I will be going for sure! Especially for the shrimp scampi! I didn't even get it and it was my favorite thing on our table! Also the tiramisu was so good as well! Our waiter I think Dante was amazing as well! Good service and always attentive! The restaurant gave true Italian restaurant with low lighting and nice music!

The Alfredo (with added chicken)!!!! This was so good, and definitely the best Alfredo I've had. I recommend making a reservation as walk ins can only be seated at the bar on a first come first served basis. Since the restaurant is located beside a food hall you can have drinks within it and then bring your drink over to the restaurant when they are ready for you. I ended up ordering an espresso martini (with tequila) and it was great. The Oreo cheesecake was delicious as well.

This place is so cute ! Perfect for a romantic dinner, great eats and a cool ambiance. Our server was solid and knowledgeable and they are able to be attentive but also allow you to enjoy your time. Not too bad when it comes to parking for me- I normally can always find street. I love a place where you can find good crafted cocktails. This is definitely one of those places!

This restaurant has been on my list, after hearing about it a while back. We finally made it, on a Tuesday evening after having made reservation a month out in advance. I assumed Caruso's was inside The Roost, but the entrance is on the outside, right next to it. The space itself is a lot smaller than I had imagined! Bur it's very cozy. Food/ We started off with bread service and a rich EVOO/balsamic dipping mixture. Our apps & kids menu item came out super quick! And then waiting for our entree took some time. Here's what we ordered-- Garlic bread- tasted very garlicky, and not as salty as I prefer. The cheese sauce reminded me of a white thick cheesy roux you get when you make Mac and cheese. Very Strong, nutty and slightly sweet? 3.5/5 Caesar Salad- croutons were the highlight--very crunchy and flavorful. The salad was crisp and delicious as well! On the tartier side. 4/5 Ragu- the beef grounds tasted like short rib! Loved the generous portion and sauce to noodle ratio! This dish was on the salty side. The whipped ricotta definitely gave a nice creamy soft balance to it! Although delicious, it's something that tasted familiar and didn't stand out to me. It reminded me of a salty short rib lasagna 3.5 Caruso's Alfredo- this was our favorite! It tasted like what it is. Very rich in butter with nutty cheese and truffle&mushroom notes. Loved the noodle texture on this! It absorbed the flavor well. Got to be a little heavy toward the end. I've also had something like this at other Italian restaurants that tasted similar. 4/5 Kids chicken parm- this is a great value for 12$! You get a side salad + ice cream with it! The pasta and chicken come in two separate plates. We upgraded the pasta to the vodka sauce. It was good! More on the creamier side than other vodka sauces I've had. The chicken was veryy thin, and I didn't care too much for it. 3.5/5 Everything we ate here was pretty good I would say? I think I'm left a little unsatisfied bc my expectations were through the roof. and it was just simply good for me.

The food was good but the service was even better. We sat at the bar because it was sooo busy; Jonathan and James passed out the good service Tips 1) Make a reservation in days? advance, this place is always busy. 2) If you can't make a reservation, take your chances at the bar; give them 15min 3) you may miss it, it's on a side street.

My birthday weekend would not be complete without dining at Caruso's Grocery in Capitol Hill for some Italian. My old reliable is the Spicy Neapolitan Ragu. How can a classic dish that is so simple be soooo good and why doesn't my spaghetti and meat sauce at home taste like this??lol The Spicy Neapolitan Ragù is traditional, flavorful, amazing meat sauce that is cooked with love and to die for. Which is probably why it is featured on the cover page of their website. The Bucatini Pasta comes out smoking hot topped with a dollop of creamy whipped ricotta. Chef's kiss or "Molto Delizioso" (Italian for very delicious per google)
